Job Description:

We are looking for a Data Scientist who can work across teams, is self motivated and strives for continuous improvement.

Job Responsibilities:

The core of this role is to help the Partnership make insight-driven, better informed, customer-centric decisions. In order to do this, you will need to work closely with teams across the Partnership, getting close to their world; hearing their problems and spotting the opportunities to improve things. You will use your analytical mindset and knowledge of the customer to improve the speed and quality of decision making.

In light of the current situation, this role will temporarily involve a mixture of working from home as well as in the office environment. Therefore it’s key that you have access to a suitable working environment if at home, away from any distractions and your own secure wifi connection.

Job Requirements:

• Significant experience in data, data science, data engineering and/or other technology related capabilities
• Masters Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering or similar technical field(or equivalent)
• Strong experience with applied statistics and machine learning techniques (supervised and unsupervised learning, natural language processing, neural networks, Bayesian statistics, time-series forecasting)
• Experienced user of Python (preferred) or R alongside relevant packages and libraries
• Good SQL & Excel skills
• Experience with People Management
• Experience in retail, marketing and e-commerce
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Experience with the implementation of end-to-end Machine Learning solutions, cookie cutter best practices, and Machine Learning Operations (MLOps)
• Excellent communication skills, with proven ability to work across functional teams to translate business issues into potential analytics solutions
• Experience with NLP techniques and libraries
• Experience deploying reinforcement learning applications
• Experience with command-line terminals (Bash / Linux OS)
• Experience with using Git version control tools and methods
• Highly analytical mindset with problem solving attitude
• Strong experience with data visualisation and the graphical presentation of key messages and concepts
• Experience with Cloud technologies (GCP, AWS Azure). GCP preferred
• Experience using multiple data sources (databases, APIs, web scraping), and data types
