Job Description:
The Atlanta Middle Market team manages HSBC Corporate Banking’s global relationships with US-headquartered clients ranging from $50MM to $2Bn+ revenue across a variety of industries, including tech, chemicals, manufacturing, healthcare, logistics/supply chain. The Team is looking for an Associate Relationship Manager (AVP or Senior Associate equivalent) to focus to support the portfolio and new business.
The role holder will work closely with Global Relationship Managers to retain and grow customer relationships for HSBC while adhering to the Group values, business strategy, operational policies, regulatory requirements and risk management practices. The role holder will also take responsibility for all aspects of clients’ new-money applications and refinancing, and working on (including but not limited to): sales pitches/product coordination, sector analysis, prospecting, etc.
As the US Head for Sustainable Finance for Corporate Banking is on the team in Atlanta, the role holder may also be asked to support prospect development and research in Cleantech and other industries as well as other measures to help grow Sustainable Finance nationally.
Employment eligibility to work with HSBC in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.
Job Responsibilities:
Knowledge of international business
Broad knowledge of Corporate Banking and Markets (and particularly HSBC) structures, products and services
Interest in the the changing economic, social and governmental environments in countries around the world.
Knowledge of CRM systems, transaction structuring/profitability analysis
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in a client-focused environment with a demonstrated understanding of Corporate Banking
- Credit training /underwriting experience
- Client-facing experience
- Appreciation of working in a global environment
Qualification & Experience:
- Strong ‘team’ skills promoting an environment of cooperation and trust, overcoming resistance where encountered
