Job Description:
The Retail Marketing Manager will be held accountable for the implementation and execution of in-store marketing initiatives. The manager will lead the planning, budgeting, and execution of both short- and long-term projects, including in-store giveaways, mall and community events, collaboration launches, etc., all with a goal to increase brand awareness, strengthen customer acquisitions, increase foot traffic, and drive sales.
Job Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and analyze the effectiveness of key marketing activities in terms of sales results, consumer response, foot traffic, and other KPI metrics. Provide feedback for improving future marketing efforts through detailed reports and event recaps
- Work with Global Marketing and cross-functional teams to create impactful campaigns. Tasks include but not limited to; pre-planning and market research, compiling creative and legal briefs, proofing marketing assets, and drafting communication memos.
- Responsible for updating and maintaining the fiscal year calendar and making recommendations for new activities as key opportunities arise throughout the year
- Collaborate with Planning, Operations, Visuals, and Buying teams to strategize key product focuses, event timing, metric goals, and operational planning
- Develop and implement marketing initiatives for in-store activations and localization, including a more detailed focus on specialty locations such as high profile, underperforming, and big box properties.
- Must have an understanding of 360/ omnichannel marketing and be able to think outside the box.
- Conduct market research to identify upcoming fashion events, festivals, local community retail-based functions, in-mall sales drivers, and competitor activity for potential marketing opportunities and to capitalize on residual foot traffic brought on by the events or experiential experiences
- Coordinate the operation of local level marketing activities with partnership with malls properties, which may include sidewalk sales, community retail-based events, coupons/passports, giveaways, etc.
- Evaluate and execute individual store level marketing requests received from Regional and District Managers, assessing both the return on investments and profitability of projects before confirming participation
- Event planning which includes managing budgets, obtaining proper permits, sourcing promotional items through vendors/agencies, communicating with mall-marketing affiliates, and overseeing the execution from start to finish.
Job Requirements:
- Must be attentive and well-informed of all competitor activity and industry trends
- Must possess strong Microsoft Office Suite skills for detailed reporting and analysis of marketing performances and creating presentations of campaign recaps
- Must have a strong understanding of Key Performance Indicators and how it pertains to the success of marketing activities
- Must have strong project management and organizational skills.
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to communicate effectively with both internal and external partners
Qualification & Experience:
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- Must have at least 5-7 years of marketing and retail marketing, preferably with some supervisory experience, with a proven track record of implementing and sustaining market developments
