Job Description:
20th television, a global leader in the development and production of entertainment content, seeks an executive to join its business affairs department as an executive director.
Job Responsibilities:
- Structuring, negotiating, documenting and managing of the studio’s transactions to engage above-the-line talent (writers, producers, directors and actors), acquire underlying rights, and license the studio’s content on all broadcast, basic and pay cable, and on-demand platforms.
- Collaborating with Legal Affairs to get long-form agreements signed on a timely basis.
- Interfacing with Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution (DMED) in connection with the exploitation of studio content to ensure optimal windowing of studio content globally.
- Establishing and maintaining client relationships with regular, effective and timely communications concerning deal negotiation and business strategy.
- Following “best practices” and contributing towards improving deal parameters, deal memo templates, and departmental processes and procedures.
- Working with contracts administration team on tracking of contractual options for properties and talent, payments, and deal summaries.
- Partner with relevant internal executives (especially creative and production teams) to support the on-going production of current series over both Disney-owned and third party platforms.
