Job Description:

As a People Manager within the Bank Operations organization, you will be responsible for the daily leadership and oversight of the day to day operations, managing projects and the well managed agenda. This team supports exception processing, charging back returned checks, processing check deposits, returns and bank to bank claims across all LOB’s (Consumer, Commercial and Small business) within the bank. You will focus on driving the achievement of individual, team and business metric goals. In addition, you will be responsible for proactive collaboration and partnership with key business stakeholders. In this role you will have the opportunity to develop strategies in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment where priorities may shift frequently
  • Analyzes and evaluates operational procedures, recommends and implements modifications to improve quality and efficiency
  • Recommends process improvements with the team and department and may represent product or process area on projects of a cross-functional/cross location scale
  • Manage projects across the team
  • Acts to ensure all service levels are met/exceeded
  • Helps manage department’s key operational metrics to include overtime, chargeoff rate and direct operating expense
  • This position does require onsite attendance **
  • Works closely with counterparts in the Richmond site and helps to create synergies across other departments within Bank Operations
  • Actively develop, manage and coach direct reports on a daily basis
  • Works with partner groups within the Exceptions, Returns, Foreign & Domestic Collections value stream to drive process change and problem solve complex issues
  • Responsible for directly managing 8 associates at our Las Vegas location

Job Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of process management experience
  • At least 1 year of project management experience
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
  • At least 3 years of people management experience
  • At least 1 year experience with LEAN
  • At least 5 years of people management experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in Banking Operations
  • At least 2 years of budget management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or military experience
  • At least 1 year experience with Six Sigma management methodology
